Welcome to my Oklahoma food blog review site!
On this page, I will introduce you to the best (and a
few of the worst) Oklahoma food blogs.
|
 |
|
I have rated each blog or site on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the best rating, according to its appearance,
content, ease of navigation, and how often the site is updated. At the bottom of the page is a Guest Book.
Please list your favorite food blog, one you found here or one of your own choosing, and let me know what you think about this review site
overall.

This site reviews
Oklahoma restaurants using a 5 star rating system based on food, service, décor and price. Is uses great
photos, offers excellent content, and allows users to post comments and reviews of their own. This is a great site to find new places to eat, specialty restaurants, or to tell
others about your favorite eatery.

This site is maintained by an English woman in NE Oklahoma who
professes to hate to cook but love to eat. It is easy to navigate, chocked full of good recipes, loaded with homespun
wit, and my favorite part is that each recipe includes an actual photo of the dish that she has prepared in her own kitchen.

Wow, plan on spending some
time on this site! It is packed with relevant information, videos, articles and
recipes. In addition, the site has
a feature that allows you to share recipes and provide comments. The site’s
only shortcoming is that it is somewhat cluttered. The clutter is worth dealing with, though, because of the abundance
of information. Think of it as being in your grandma's attic where each corner, nook and cranny holds a
treasure.

If you are in Tulsa looking for a place to eat, this is a good restaurant review site. It
uses the catchy slogan, "Tulsa restaurants casually reviewed by normal everyday people who live to eat." The
site is well organized with great photos and regular reviews. The posts are informative, but, in my opinion, the overall
design could be improved. But, hey, your stomach won't care.

After visiting their blog, I'm certain that you will want to stop by Forward Foods next
time you are in Norman, OK. The blog is creative and fun with gobs of good information and humor. While
it is well organized, it could stand a few more photos to improve its appearance. Oh, and one
more thing; the site is a bit cheesy. Check it out to see what I mean.

This is a good site maintained by a self-professed "fiery redhead" and "relunctant meateater."
The blog contains excellent content, great photos, and is well organized. New content is posted on average
every 7-10 days. It's definitely a blog worth checking out!

Maintained by Bob Walthrop, president of the Oklahoma Food Cooperative, this is an interesting blog with out-of-the ordinary content. You just don't find too many blogs about
bulgar, but I like it! The only thing I would tell Bob is to add photos and post more frequently to liven up the
bulgar blog.

I think good wine goes with good food, so I am including this blog. It contains a lot of good information
about wine tasting events, festivals, and a full list of Oklahoma winery sites. The site is organized, well-maintained,
and informative. In my opinion, it could improve its design and add more photos. Wine, grapes, vineyards,
and accoutrements are all beautiful things. I think every post should boast an appealing photo relevant to the
site. Overall, the site is great and definitely worth visiting.

OK, in my opinion, a blog that is maintained by The Oklahoman's food editor should be better. To me, this blog is saying, "Here you go, we made a blog, we're keeping
up with technology." Wrong. It's not enough just to have a blog. Um, where are all of the photos?
Where are the videos? And not to be too critical, but even if you are going to try to write like you would speak,
you still need to use proper punctuation. In my opinion, this blog could and should be better.

I expected great content and photos from a chef. The blog's description says, "Chef Walter talks
about food and cooking in Oklahoma." Really? I'm confused. The 0 out of 10 is due to the
fact that the site has nothing to do with food.
